About the Colloquim
INTRODUCTION

Since the modern age, there has been a tremendous increase of knowledge in numerous sectors of science and various disciplines, whether connected to Applied Sciences or other sciences that have been involved in investigating the human phenomenon. This increase of knowledge has resulted in a widening of the range of disciplines that can be studied, as well as the development of new research methods that can be used to explore scientific and humanitarian events from a variety of angles, viewpoints, and situations. Since they both focus on the human being as a living being and as a social phenomenon connected to history and reality, the sciences of revelation and the humanities rank as the most important of these fields.
For this reason, it is important to investigate how these two disciplines interact and how they can be combined to create new research fields, given that both disciplines have a long history of scientific contributions from generations of scientists, as well as the modern knowledge and methods that have been developed in the West. The Muslim researcher is the most deserving one among the people to look into the ancient and present knowledge legacy in order to improve human understanding and have favorable impacts on the individual and society as a whole.
One of the most important foundations for the integration of the sciences of Revelation and humanities is to read Revelation and the universe, which on one hand, represents the basis of reconciliation, but on the other hand, it can be said that Ijtihad is based on the requirements of reality and the specifics of society. As an alternative, the maqasid-oriented view is to read the texts of the book and Sunnah and link it to the jurisprudence of human psyche and the jurisprudence of social phenomena, and monitoring the system of values, ethics, and customs, then doing the appropriate explanation for events and phenomena, and then working to social change and reform.
For this reason, both the Department of Quranic and Hadith studies at the Abdul Hamid Abu Suleiman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences at the International Islamic University Malaysia and with the participation of the Faculty of Islamic sciences at Karabuk University in Türkiye invite researchers in general and graduate students in particular to participate in this scientific colloquium to highlight the most important research ideas and projects related to the cognitive integration between the sciences of revelation and the humanities.
